How to Care for Lingerie in Summer Heat

1. Wash More Often - But Gently
Yes, you’ll need to wash your bras and briefs more frequently in summer. But that doesn’t mean harsh cycles and abrasive detergents. Stick to hand-washing in cool water with a pH-balanced, lingerie-friendly detergent. Gently swirl, soak for no more than 15 minutes, and rinse carefully. Avoid wringing at all costs — it weakens the fabric and distorts shape.
2. Dry Flat, Never in Sunlight
Letting your lingerie bask in the sun may sound tempting — but it’s one of the fastest ways to fade colour and damage delicate fibres. Instead, press your lingerie between a towel to remove excess water and lay it flat in the shade to dry.
